Yeah, to me this wasn’t so much about Dean needing Castiel’s help/using Cas, but simply wanting Castiel by his side.

Dean’s upset here because he told Castiel not to change, but he did.

Button up that coat and be who you’re supposed to be.

THIS. EXACTLY THIS. THANK YOU. So fucking sick of everyone complaining about Dean’s behaviour. The people who can’t even see the real reasons behind his actions, can’t even understand the look in his eyes. The people who still don’t really know the character even after 7 years. This is DEAN you’re talking about. He never express his feelings. Never talks about them. Never shows how much he’s hurt. Never tells anyone “I love you”. He just shows it. In weird ways, yes, but he shows it. He gets angry. He just shows his anger and nothing else. No other feelings cause he gotta keep them inside. That’s how he keeps going, that’s who he is. So i guess you have to stop looking at his actions or the things he says. You just have to look in his eyes. And believe me, everything he’s trying to keep inside, it’s all in his eyes.
