SO APPARENTLY THIS IS A THING NOW.

• and this is how hipster!Derek and hiphophead!Stiles met— Derek being incredibly awkward because he’s not only just, you know, Derek, but he’s also a hipster, so obviously he has no social skills whatsoever and hates society etcetc;
• Stiles, instead, is his usual friendly self, confused about his sexuality (well, OBVIOUSLY, what kind of Sterek au would this be otherwise), his best friend Scott’s dating “this Allison chick, who’s obsessed with obscure musicians that no one knows and shit”, which is the only reason why Stiles has ever even heard of Sufjan Stevens to begin with;
• later that same day Derek and Stiles will ~casually~ meet again at a bus stop (it’s not like Derek stalked him shut up of course he didn’t), and Stiles -having recognized Derek- will start talking about how being a Senior at high school sucks and what does Derek do for a living (has recently dropped College and currently works in a Pet Shop) and so on with his verbal diarrhea;
• after they’ve said goodbye, that night Stiles will find a piece of paper in the pocket of his hoodie, with Derek’s email address scribbled down in a rush… and that’s how it begins xD
